Bought these for my new boots

I bought a new pair of elasticated boots. The makers advised customers to choose a 1/2 size smaller than their usual fitting. I was sceptical as I have large feet, but the size 9's fitted better than the 9.5's. The maker said use a shoe tree to keep the boot in shape. Seems to have worked although I have been breaking the boots by wearing them indoors only.
